Remodel is Underway Posted on Monday, May 3, 2010

At approximately 10:00am on Sunday, May 2nd Barkers Island Inn began a series of renovations and upgrades. Phase 1 of this project is remodel our existing Great Lakes Ballroom. Here is a picture just before we started. Take note of the old wallpaper and border because you will never see them again!

We are going to be reviewing the best bubble umbrellas that are currently on the market.

1) Ohuhu

This umbrella is made from scratch resistant nylon and has a metal shaft. It also has a removable clear plastic cover at the top. This can be used as a rain shield when it’s not raining, or as an emergency shade in case of an intense sunburn. It is water and wind proof, so it can stand up to all types of weather conditions.

2) Lebensohn

This is a small sized umbrella with 14 ribs that are covered with cotton fabric to protect against rain and wind. The canopy size is 36 inches in diameter, which provides protection for one person only. It can withstand winds up to 60 miles per hour and also comes with an automatic open and close mechanism.
